Sea salt can be mistaken for sugar??? Aren't there obvious and visible differences in the grain sizes?

To be fair, in this case, the sea salt is a finer grind than granulated sugar. It was made for salt shakers.

Sea salt can come in a vast range of grain shapes and sizes, cubes, flakes, shards, from a fine powder to chunks almost the size of rock salt. Also a rainbow of colors, gray, black, red, green, white, etc., depending on where its from and how it was dried. A famous French sea salt is sel gris, grey salt, w/ coarse crystals.
