Guess she was mad at her husband, although the headline is sensationalistic -- she murdered the guy, and has been sentenced to life imprisonment, but the headline just mentions her cutting off his genitals.

NEW DELHI, INDIA - A WOMAN was sentenced to life imprisonment by a New Delhi court for battering her 35-year-old husband to death and slicing off his genitals.

The man, who lived in a village in Uttar Pradesh's Jhanshi district, was murdered at his house some time last year, Malaysia Nanban reported.

His body was found wrapped in a plastic mat. His genitals had been cut off with a sickle and there was no sign of his wife Guddi Manku.

She was later arrested by police at her village in Datia district in Madhya Pradesh, where she had fled after committing the crime. The police also recovered a knife and the sickle, besides her blood-stained clothes.

The court, however, spared the woman the death sentence, saying that it was not a planned murder and she was not involved in any previous crime.

During the trial, the court was unable to ascertain the woman's motive for killing her husband.
