I got a call from Uncle Flo today fathers day and he is not doing well, he had a knee replacement a few weeks ago and he is in lots of pain. He asked me to let everybody know and if we don't see him for a while not to worry.
So I wish him well and as I hear from him I will let you all know.

Re: Uncle Flo
River thanks for the update on Uncle Flo. Uncle Flo I hope you heal quickly and the pain subsides. Two things that are very important after a joint replacement is first keeping the pain under control. Studies show the body heals quicker with less pain. If he is having too much pain it is his doctors responsibility to keep his pain under control. The other aspect is following his physical therapy orders. Keep the joints moving and rebuild that strength. If the pain is so extreme his surgeon needs to investigate. Uncle Flo I wish you a speedy and pain free recovery.

Been there, had that done in 1982. Knee replacement was painful to the max.

Re: Uncle Flo
Best wishes and thoughts going out to Uncle Flo.
I'm hoping he heals soon, and is feeling MUCH less pain when getting around afterwards. My grandmother had this surgery in the early 1980s and was SO MUCH better afterwards. She never really showed how much pain she was having before the surgery, but it was clearly obvious it was gone, afterwards.

Uncle Flo,
I hope your pain decreases a lot very soon. I know two people who have had this surgery. Both are pleased with the results.

Re: Uncle Flo
It has been almost four weeks since my knee surgery and I am just now getting to the point where I can acomplish much of anything. There is still much pain but this week I will be back under the care of my usual doctor so I expect to improve more rapidly. Thank you all for your kind wishes. I will try to check in on EA every day or two from now on. --FLO--
