Offensive, but an attempt at comedy about MtF. Saturday Night Live is usually politically incorrect.

Comments, anyone?

Just watched the clip, and I thought is was ok, not the best SNL has done, but surely not the worst.

The BEST of SNL in my opinion was John Belushi, his "Samurai" and Bees stuff. Honestly, SNL has only gone down hill ever since the originals left.

As for this particular clip, I think it is actually a very good thing that we CAN still have at least some sort of sense of humor on this subject. I do not find it offensive, but then again I am not one of those haters who just wants to find a reason to be angry at the world....😠 we do have more than we need of that type personality.

I thought the best and funniest part of this "estro-maxx" ad was close to the end of it when the TSA airport security guard shows up at the girls party, that part actually got a bit of a laugh from me.😄

A humorous comedy sketch, IMHO. At the very least, it raises public awareness that MtF transsexuality is probably more prevalent than they think. At the worst, it can be seen as making fun of MtF folk. Honestly, we've been accustomed to that treatment for many, many years, already.

What hurts me is, had our social, medical, and psychological communities been 30 to 40 years faster in studying, learning, and recognizing gender conditions, I might have had a decent chance. Hell, it's taken five revisions of the DSM to finally start getting close to accurate descriptions of GID. I really have to feel happy for all the adolescents who have only recently begun being recognized and treated appropriately. They have an honest chance to go completely stealth and live happy lives as girls, ladies, and women. :)

I first knew of my feelings at seven years of age, and couldn't do a damned thing about it. It was 1964 and the only MtF anyone knew was Christine Jorgensen. The movie about her story was only whispered about in adult circles, and usually loaded with comments like "poor thing" and "sicko" and "but, why?" :(

I'm always a little surprized that groups like SNL are as aware as they are

about the nuances of "perversions".

When they're sitting around thinking up skits who brings up something like that, and how do they explain their knowledge of the subject. They certainly have some gay guys, but how many TS or TV can there be on staff ? Or practitioners of the many other subjects that come up. Remember colonel

Lingus and Anna Lingus?

I was reading posts at a trans site, Susans.org earlier and there are some M2F girls that are VERY offended by it. Personally, I have very few sacred cows and can find houmor everywhere. Maybe it was in poor taste but many of the funniest things around are going to offend SOME ONE...

ya know....i didn't find this in the least bit ammusing. I surely wasn't offended by it. I just didn't think it was funny. I do agree that most of the best humor out there will offend at least someone. And if you are white and jewish but laugh at the black jokes while being offended by the jewish jokes.....then you are a hypocrite. same thing goes for if you are gay, and have worked hard for equality and recognition........and then go around saying how trans people are sick and discriminate against them. ( 2 real life examples from close friends ). but,to make a long story short, one should never be offended by a legitimately innocent attempt at humor. If you are wound that tight, go home, close your windows, lock your doors and turn off your tv and hide from the world cause the rest of us shouldnt have to walk on eggshells so you dont get offended.
