my brothers wife had cancer 2 years ago
since then ..no more sex
he has taken up drinking 6 beers or something harder every day
the other day he confided to me that he is experiencing hot flashes
feel fatigued no longer has interest in sex
i looked up a study that if you get 35 percent of your calories from ethanol you are effectively negating your testosterone and are basically castrated
i have told him he drinks to much...to no avail..thats his business so i wont bug him a lot

Re: drinking to lower testosterone
One would think that men especially would realize that sexual dysfunction comes from drinking toooo much. But, if you get addicted to it, it's hard to stop. I would guess a lot of men are effectively castrated by drinking too much.

Drinking alot, smoking, and drugs and more: stress, medical conditions (including diabetes), mental illness, poor diet, medications, and obesity and not enough exercise or lame exercise.
All can cause Hypogonadism, low to lack of testosterone in men.

Re: drinking to lower testosterone
This is the rationale behind doing alcohol injections into the testicles. If extended periods of low concentrations in the blood will lower testosterone, higher concentrations of alcohol injected directly into the testicles would do the job even better.
