Shrinking of the penis due to impotence.

Post by impotentus (imported) »

How much time has to pass before a penis shrinks due to castration or chemical castration? I start Prozac regime and I end it before the impotence lasts more than 3 nights. So far, I haven´t noticed any changes in size or lenght. Thanks to all for reading and answering this.

Everyone's mileage is different.

I started with a relatively small penis, and it took me at least a year on chemical castration before seeing any real shrinkage. I've now been on chemical castration for over 4 years and stopped it for over 6 months, and only this past year or so do I feel the shrinkage being permanent.

I've heard some other people report that they lost a lot of size within months of starting chemical castration.

Are you still getting erections at night? I did not have erections for 12 years, due to a prolactin producing tumor, and I lost an inch and a half in the length and one-half inch in thickness. This loss in permanent, since I have been treated for the tumor and been on HRT for 11 years and have seen no return in size. The loss in size is due to the spongy tissue in the penis losing it's elasticity without regular stretching. With most men it takes some time to lose size. If you do start having erections again with reduced size, as I did after my treatment, the first few weeks are painful.

I think the more important question here is why are you starting and stopping Prozac? This is dangerous. You cannot start and stop Prozac abruptly as it can cause you serious problems. See your doctor and get on a different medication if you are having issues with it.

I had my prostate removed because of cancer about a year and a half ago.

I am doing fine. But because I had a very aggressive form, we opted to not do the nerve sparing procedure. Thus the erectile nerves have been removed along with my prostate. I still have sensitivity and can dry orgasm, but I am totally limp now, and will be from now on.

Because there is never any flow of blood to the corpus cavernosa I have noticed that I have lost about 30-40% in flacid length (the only length I have LOL) and about the same in girth. I would imagine that it will continue to atrophy over time.

Good question!

Low and no testosterone, no morning wood or hardons and your penis will shrink and it's all impotence, all the time.

I probably had low testosterone for years if not decades, which had left me with a penis that was turtle most of the time and not long enough to pee standing up or for wanking.

I had my T-levels check for the last year for the first time ever at the age of 48 and it came back a below "normal" 220. When it fell to a really low 150 in the Spring. My doctor put me on HRT and that has pushed my T-level up to 250, which is the bottom end for "normal." I'm now get morning wood of about 5" but the rest of the it's still turtle and very too short for peeing standing up.

Who knows if long-term HRT will made my penis longer, harder, stronger or will it stay bite-size?
