Several years ago I went to a swap meet. A loud vendor shouted, "Better buy this stuff today. The Earth could be hit by an asteroid tomorrow."
I said loudly, "Better an asteroid than a hemorrhoid." I thought he might be bothered but he thought it was very amusing.
