eunuch define

Post by baldwin92 (imported) »

Okay everyone this might be a stupid question or maybe not. What I want to ask everyone is what makes a eunuch. It is simply the absence of testicles? Or is the absence of testicles and the hormones they produce? In other words, if one has no testicles but is on testostrone replacement therapy would they still be a eunuch. If my testicles atrophy to the extreme(although I don't plan on waiting that long to remove them) due to my TRT will I be a eunuch?

Think the defficion of an eunuch is to be testicle-less. A person that has no function of testicles. Just having no hormone or sperm production is not an eunuch. It is having balls or not. If you cut off ones testicles there is no way you can take a drug to undo the castration. There is not HRsperm drug. You can undo most of the effects of no testicles with drugs.

Any ways that is my deification of what I am. Ballses and happy to be one.

The definition that my colleagues and I have used in our several publications about the voluntary eunuch community is, "a natal male whose testicles have been removed or destroyed." That, then, obviously includes chemical castration as well as surgical.

word 'Eunuch' has historic roots. It meant a man without testicles or without testicles and penis. HRT was not available these times, so it means low - Eunuch T levels. Perhaps Low T-levels is most essential feature of eunuch. As there are so called natural Eunuchs too - men with non functional testicles.

Balless men on HRT, I would not think of them as eunuchs. Just men without testicles.

That question is what I struggle with. I have no testosterone in my system because of a pit tumor and I killed my testicles with alcohol injection. I take 1/4 the recommended dose of hormone replacement and like how I feel but I don't like having balls still between my legs. I don't feel like I am complete till I lose my testicles completely. Its really hard to get help with this because of the way I have been raised and because of my partner who I really love but does not understand how I feel. Just wish they were gone and I could be sexless.

I had my testicles removed and so I am a eunuch. I do not take any HRT. While I present as male for the most part I identify as a eunuch.

I have felt like I am between male and female since my levels have dropped and I am happy with no T. I had some of those feelings before castration. It was not until afterwards that the happiness and my genuine self was realized.

So for me eunuch is not just the absence of testicles but also my gender.

I am going to stop any hrt and see how I feel. I am a eunuch that just need to lose his balls. I went without any T for many years and that is who I want to be. I want to be non gender. Without sex or preconceived notions of sex. I want to be who I am not who society thinks I should be. I want to feel free to be who ,I am. I love my partner but I would love to feel a large cock up my ass just once to see how it feels. I don't want to cheat but need to know how it feels because I am turned on by men as much as women. This conflict has been going on years and has got to be resovled or I am going to go nuts. I need professional help but am to afraid to get it. What do I do?

The first Richard Burton discussed this in a very long footnote in volume four of his epic translation of the Arabian Nights. (The books are amazing, the footnotes astonishing) He distinguishes three types of eunuchs, those without testicles, those without a penis, and those missing both. The second of course does not meet the current medical definition, and would have normal male levels of T, but in the middle East they also were regarded as eunuchs. He also mentioned that the ancients recognized "natural eunuchs" those who appeared to have normal male equipment, but who never develop male secondary characteristics. Paolo described such in another thread:

...Godson2's cousin, we'll call him JC, is - for all intents and purposes - a eunuch.

WHY he is remains a great mystery. His grandmother is an RN, and claims that the doctor has found no reason whatsoever for his condition.

This was noticed by G2 and friends when puberty was hitting them all. Or rather, hitting them all but for JC. To make a long story short, a get-together at the lake community one weekend night around a poker game turned into strip poker, and eventually a make-out session. Having always been very open and honest about all matters "male" and "sexual", G2 comes to me and says, "JC doesn't even have any hair yet!" This was at age 14-15. High voice, plump...red flag. Enter Granny and her RN status; trip to the doctor.

Findings - little to no testosterone in JC's system. No signs of puberty whatsoever. Not one indicator. Reasons? Unknown.

What gets me is that JC identifies as male. 100%. He likes girls. Yet here he is, almost 15 at this point, with a child's voice, no whiskers or fuzz, no body hair, and "tiny genitals". (sic). And of course, being plump, the beginnings of breasts and serious teasing.

... particularly suspect were those who could not grow beards.

It is also worth noting that in a number of ancient cultures, including Rome, those who did not engage in sex were lumped in with those who could not and regarded as eunuchs. Thus Catholic priests with their (theoretical) celibacy would have been regarded as eunuch priests, carrying on a line of ancient religions served by eunuch priests.
