Doubts
Here is my question: Have any of the eunuchs on here gone into the surgery less than 100% sure that it is what they wanted? I know "randy" posted his experience were he did have doubts just before he had it done. Has anyone else paused in a moment of doubt before their castration?

I had doubts but they were not as much about if this was right for me but the manner I had chosen. Sure when you are making a change in yourself that is permanent I think a little self doubt creeps into your thoughts. My other doubts were I hope this does not cause my death or a trip to the hospital. Neither of which happened I am pleased to report.
I remember as I was shaving myself in the shower of the motel room and noticed everything drawn up tightly out of nervousness. I thought about calling it all off but had no idea how I could ever plan for it if I decided later to have it done. In my poor mental state at the time I remember thinking oh he is driving all that way I should not disappoint him. Having had all the assertiveness beaten out of me for years it was easy to put his wishes before my own. Of course I must say that it was and still is the best decision I have made.
My other fear that caused doubt was a trip to the hospital. That fear was greater than death. I was still in so much emotional pain from the abuse that death would not have been so bad. The trip to the hospital would have been to the one where I was employed. Now that would have been bad.
Today I am a contented no T eunuch and happy to be alive. I am glad the doubts did not stop me. I know others who could have used a greater sense of doubt.
Re: Doubts
I think Gelding once said it best when he said "if you have doubt for even 1 second, don't do it."
That's paraphrased, by the way. My memory ain't what it used to be!

Re: Doubts
I never had any doubt about doing it overall, but I did hesitate when it actually came time to get on the table and have it done. I did it the inadvised way according to the archive (a cutter) and when he told me to get on the table I paused for about 15 seconds before getting up on it. It was less doubt about what I was doing and more a flash passing before my eyes of everything that led me up to that point. Once I had that flash, I was firm of mind, got on the table, and never looked back.
Today I am a very happy eunuch and glad that I did it.

Reminds me of how I felt on the day I got married.
I think any permanent life changing decision is like that. "Am I doing the right thing here?" is a question a person always asks himself before taking the plunge. Similar to making a offer to buy a house or signing up for the hire purchase deal on a new car.
I'd say that if you are making an informed decision and it's something you've wanted for a long time, you are almost certainly doing the right thing.
It's the impusive decisions that are dangerous, especially those made when you're boozed up. For example :
"Anyone here fancy having their balls cut off?"
"Yeah, why not?"
"Okay drop your pants and get on the table."
Snip snip. "Oh shit!"
