There is, however, an older man who hitches every day on a nearby highway. When I was younger I picked up hitchikers and never had any problems (or felt threatened) with them but it was difficult for me to hitch a ride when I tried. I just realized a possible reason: I am quite large and, in those days scary looking. --FLO--

I'll never forget the day you unexpectedly showed up at my door with Talula. Scared the Be-Jesus out of me. Soon realized you were just a large walking teddy bear....

Used to love picking up hitchhikers. Never an issue.

Got lucky with one in Denver - turned into a three day festival... Too bad the weekend had to end! Only one that ever turned out that way - damn.

I seriously think that the last hitchhiker I picked up was about a 15 year old girl in a black bikini and a couple of her friends walking home from a pool at a local park about 35 years ago.

I still remember taking her home and knocking on her door after she went in and chewing out her mother when she answered...
