I heard a new radio ad from a dealer in our fair capital city. Interestingly, a fast talking guy who sounds like he is from New Joisey and calls himself the Godfather. But he does offer a gunrack for $1 with each pickup purchase. (You can tell he isn't a true redneck because he does not offer a gunrack for any model. I have fond memories of babes driving Camaros with a gunrack, trailer hitch and tobacco stains streaming back from the driver's window).
Anyway, I was just curious if there were other ads out there offering a humorous comeon like $1 gun racks?

Re: Car Dealer Ad
Cal Worthington and his dog spot.
I will stand on my head to make a deal.
His dog spot was a Bengal Tiger, a Hippo, Rhino, or any of a number of large animals, it was never a dog.
He is still alive I believe in his late 80's and still stands on his head.
He has dealerships in Southern California and I think Texas.
For those of you in Southern Cal, what do you think of CAL and his dog Spot?

Cal Worthington is a California icon. He was and is a Master Car Dealer and fun to watch on TV. He understood both showmanship and salesmanship.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dOCNphyw ... L&index=35

Re: Car Dealer Ad
I read somewhere that Cal Worthington was completely illiterate too. Could not read or write.
Loved his tigers, the ones where his announcer said something like, "Here's Cal and his dog spot."
Great late night fare, along with "Call Pizza Man, he delivers."
Go see Cal, go see Cal, go see Cal, go see Cal.
Odd that at the time it was so annoying, but so nostalgic now.
