While it may be preferred to have your doctor aware of or even incharge of your chemical castration, in my opinion most people here do it by themselves. If you are considering something as more of a basic experiment with a good probability that you will discontinue treatment at some point so you can return as closely as possible to your original state, I would recommend injections of Depo Provera. This drug is administered here in the US to some convicted sex criminals and is generally regarded as safe from other health risks. Criminals get it in much higher doses than I have seen it used for our use. I can't say what the costs would be in Australia, but in the US, it can be down around $1 a day. I started out by being given 2 initial injections and then two weks later being given another one before settling down to one injection every 4 weeks. I took Spironolactone daily with it but should have eliminated the Spiro and just gone to Depo Provera injections every 3 weeks. I took this for over 2 1/2 years before being surgically castrated. With the 4 week schedule and Spiro, my testosterone level was down under 100 (US numbers) which is very low but not absolutely to a castrate level. Normal values for my lab is 280-1080 and castrate level is less than 50. I think I could have gotten even lower readings by just using Depo at 3 week intervals.

The other common drug is Androcur or a generic. That is effective but its dosing is somewhat variable and it can result in more health risks when using it as well as more permanent changes if used long term (over 6 months). It is also more expensive.

Just be patient as these drugs will cause a drop in your testosterone but it takes time. Not days but weeks and months. I am not sure if you would need a prescription to buy Depo in Australia of if you would go to an offshore source like Inhouse Drugstore like I did. Good luck however you proceed.

thank you for the reply as i do not know alot of the actual effects and side effects of these drugs im not to keen on injections of depo provera. im more looking for just a simple pill or capsule i can just take on a daily basis that will give the effects of castration without actually causing to much damage just in case this isnt what i really want although this has been in my mind since i was ten when i used to help my brother castrate the sheep with an elastrator

also i am quite likely going to end up going to a doctor about this but i would like to find some more info on the effects and also get the courage to see a doc about this any recommendations on what i should say to the doctor?

I find it unlikely that most doctors will be willing to help, they are more likely going to want you to talk to a shrink, which isnt a bad idea, no matter what they say.

I am not a big fan of shots either and have been taking the generic andorcur for over 2 years now. It is very effective, and has put me at castrate levels. I dont know if any permant damage has been done, because i havent come of the drug.

according to the data from the drug company, everything is supposed to return to normal after taking the drug, I guess that this is not true after long term use, but after a six month trial i would think that everything would be ok.

you are only 18 so bouncing back should be easier. either way fantasy is very different from reality, so be careful, and good luck

thank for the reply

and its begging to look like andocur is the drug of choice for several people and it will give me the effects im after and i know that fantasy is far from reality hence why i dont want to do anything permanent at the moment and it also appears its best if i go to my doctor about all this although if if i do what should i tell him? i want to lower my sex drive to castrate level? or i want to be chemically castrated for a short period of time? im not good at talking in public or making stuff up on the spot....

At age 18 you might have a communication gap with a Dr., unless you can get a personal referral to a liberal minded Dr. who believes the customer is right when it comes to elective personal choice matters. If you have acne or very oily skin, that might be something that you can use as a wedge to try and get something that will lower your testosterone level. Undoubtedly the Dr. will want to test your T level to see if it is too high. Or you can just order medication on your own and see what happens. Everything has risks and you need to pick and choose what risk you are willing to take.
