I think a week or two ago, when the word 'eunuch' was put into google search, second result was www.eunuch.org with some certain related sites beside. That kind of order has been I think for two or more years.

Today there was no www.eunuch.org found in the first five pages of search...

Thats unusual I think. Is it somekind of censor working somewhere or what? Googles new policy? If that is the case, then this tendency is littlebit alarming. Another attempt to control an internet. If there is EA admins involved then I could understand..

E.

Don't forget to check the Google SafeSearch settings on the computer you are currently using. There are 3 options.

SafeSearch Filtering

Google's SafeSearch blocks web pages containing explicit sexual content from appearing in search results.

Use strict filtering (Filter both explicit text and explicit images)

Use moderate filtering (Filter explicit images only - default behavior)

Do not filter my search results

Amazing how an inquiry about Google search engine can drift off into condemnations of Canada, Canadians, Canada Dry, Capt. Kirk, Germans, and more. No wonder it is so challenging searching for and finding information in the various segments of the archive; more challenging than Google to be sure.

-----------------

Separately, the one thing that I always wondered about is that following a Google search, you can select an archived entry in the EA and the reader completely by-passes the warning "do not enter" notice on the index page of the web site. I still think everyone should be required to log in, even if they found the EA via a back door. There is no obligation in registering, they don't even need to give any personal info or e-mail. But at least to view the site everyone sees the "do not enter' notice prior to entering the site, every time because they have to log in before viewing any part of the site.

For those of us who don't know how to do that could you give us a step by step how to.

Thanks

Google Help explains it better than I could explain it:

Actually, it goes beyond safe search. We have currently been banned from all Google search results. We are currently dealing with requesting reconsideration.

A suggestion. Require anyone who wishes to visit the site to register and set up a user name and password. Forbid any entry through the "back door". When people see postings via the "back door" they don't see the warning notice that is on the first page.

By registering each person would then declare that they are of age and that viewing the site is legal in their area. They wouldn't need to provide any personal information, just set up a user name and password. Maybe that would help. Personally I think it would be a good idea anyway. It seems most inappropriate to me for some under age personr to type in some search word into Google that may exist within the E archive and accidentally arrive at a very graphic archive posting.

First of all this will break indexing by the search engines. And nowadays - anything that is not seen in search engine or actively advertised - it is effectively not on the web.

Second - do you really think that this will stop underage persons from visiting? You know, you can not check ID via internet. (Or should this form also require a scan of passport? :))
