How long after surgery till T levels are 0

I had a bilateral orchiectomy done last Friday (4 days ago). I'm MTF, and had been on a low does of E for the past year so I haven't had erections for most of the past year, except when I wanted them. I really hated "morning wood" and random erections during the day, so being on E was great. However, my surgeon requested that I stop E about 10 days before the surgery, and the random erections started about 3 or 4 days before the surgery and have been continuing since then.
I'm healing just fine from the surgery. The suture doesn't hurt, only the cord stumps are a little sore because I had so many veins (I had a massive varicocele on the left side), but I wake up several times each night with a giant erection which stretches everything out and makes it really sore. I assume it's still some leftover testosterone in my system that's causing this. How long will it take for these to stop happening? I'm starting back on the E today.
As a side note, being castrated feels awesome! I have had issues with pain and varicoceles for nearly 20 years, and then being trans on top of that, I really hated my package. I've been a lurker here for several years while getting the funds and my personal situation aligned to have this procedure. I'm so happy I finally had it done!
