Unlicensed silicone injections, and deaths relating to them are getting pretty common. Here's a 22-year old guy that just died.
The woman is pretty scary looking -- how'd you like her anywhere near your penis?

Man Dies From Penis Enhancement Injections Done By A Woman With No Medical License
Kasia Rivera's mugshot gives the impression she has done work on herself
A man that was tired of coming up short, decided to have bootleg silicone injections done straight into his penis, by an unlicensed woman. Well, maybe she had a driver's license, but she certainly did not have a medical one. Kasia Rivera, 34, has been placed under arrest, for illegally performing the procedure without a license, resulting in the manslaughter of Justin Street, 22. After the injections, a blood clot developed that later killed him.
The government needs to clamp down on people deceiving the public and performing life threatening procedures without the benefit of a medical license. The public also needs to be careful. At the end of the day, if you can't afford plastic surgery, do not risk your life on a low price procedure by someone that is not licensed. The corrective surgery could cost you a bundle or regrettably your life.
Side Bar: If so many songs and sitcoms didn't constantly make jokes about the size of people's private parts, people would not be so self-conscious and risking their lives on dangerous procedures.

It's kinda ironic you know, you mention that the mass media should not be contributing to making people self-conscious, but at the same time you realise that what the mass media is doing when they make jokes about genital size, is simply another facet of superficiality. I've spoken up against superficiality before but you've rejected my notion of non-superficiality saying that it's only "natural" to be superficial, so I think it's pretty ironic for you to complain about other people who do or say things arising from the same sort of beliefs that you have.
If genital size does not matter, why should the genital type matter? Doesn't having genital type matter also make trans people self-conscious and risk
Man the irony....

(DIY removal)? Doesn't making trans people self-conscious lower their quality of life?

Thanks for posting a link that sent a trojan horse to my computer in which I had to terminate 3 processes, have 2 files removed, and delete 3 registry keys to safeguard my machine.
That said, YIKES! I looked at that mugshot. That woman has certainly been beaten with the ugly stick more than once.

How many mugshots have you seen that looked good? Even hollywood celebs look crap in their mugshots. Mugshots probably deliberately make people look as unattractive as they can be. I bet she probably looks fine in person.

No, it's not ironic because those are words from the article, not me.
But back to our old argument, you're still confusing what is and what we wish for. I can say I wish people weren't superficial and also say superficiality is natural and there is no conflict in those two statements.
In contrast, you complain about the superficiality of the world all the time so you are admitting that it is natural -- it is a commonplace occurrence in our world.
So when I saw something is natural I don't mean it is ideal.
So we agree that the world is mostly superficial. We agree that it would be nice if it wasn't.
You just seem to latch onto the word "natural". To me "natural" means whatever the world is. It is not a comment on whether that is the best way to be. It is just a pragmatic statement, not a moral one.
As another example, I would say it is natural for people to take advantage of one another. Of course that is a bad thing, but you can see it happening everywhere so I call it natural.
Anyway, we're in total agreement except you don't understand my meaning of the word natural. Natural doesn't mean good. Disease is natural. Death is natural. Hate is natural. And so are hope, good, compassion, etc. If it exists commonly I would call it natural. That is all.

I didn't see that bit mentioned in the article. Anyways you're clarifying that you do not think natural = good, or that natural cannot be improved on?
Personally I don't think that something that is commonplace means it's natural. Given the great many ideas, philosophies and other misc things that have come into common existance and then phased out in human history, it seems to be a weird way to associate natural with commonality. But at least that much I can agree to disagree since it's just down to how we define natural. As long as you can agree that something that is commonplace is not ideal and that it can and should be changed, I see no need to debate the definition of "natural".
