I suppose it is another name for a hoggie. The New Orleans style oyster poboy is made from oysters fried in a egg batter. It is served on french bread loaf and dressed. The oysters have to be fried quickly. Enjoying them is a fine part of living in Louisiana. Poorboy Lloyd's does them New Orleans styel, which is a tad drier than the sandwich in other places in Louisiana.
