I cried because I could not think, and then I met a man who had no BRAINS...

Why doesn't 🇨🇦

export fresh water?

I mean large pipes, canals, aqueducts - exporting fresh water to the dry lands in the south.

Seems like a win-win.

All that global warming and ice melting possibly stalling the Atlantic conveyor, could be diverted for profitable use.

Maybe even qualifies as a win-win-win. Y'think?

Got Water? Profit!

This is similar to projects I read about between Siberia and the 'stans.

Let us be stingy with it. We will bottle it and sell it as "Pure Canadian Water" under the trade name Canada Wet...

Fresh drinking water is potentially our most valuable natural resource. Fortunately, at least for the moment, our leaders have recognized and accepted that. At no point should we be exporting it, under any conditions.

You want my water? Okay, come shovel my driveway in the winter. There's a lot of water in that snow. You'd be welcome to all you'd want.

Until then, if I have to deal with it, I'm going to keep it.

Canada is of much the same opinion. We're looking after the water and keeping it clean. It is our responsibility. It would make no sense to give away a resource, we put so much into.

The USA used to have ample fresh water resources. Where did it all go?

Oh, right. You mismanaged it and polluted it.

The USA is like a child that intentionally broke it's toy, then whines that the other child that didn't break their toy is being unfair by not sharing. When you stop breaking your toys we'll consider sharing with you.

Go Canada, I agree and you would think in this day and age it would stop but no, sorry to say where money is involved anything clean and good is trampled.

You persons of a northern persuasion are just dumping fresh water into the oceans anyways.

Threatening to shut down the Japanese Current and the Atlantic Conveyor.

Secretly planning for the global catastrophe seen in "Day After Tomorrow".

By selling Northern Waters for agricultural use, the increased evaporation in more southern latitudes will just come back to rain on the north, again. And you get to sell it again.

How about that?

My guess is you'd rather create the global catastrophe of shutting down oceanic thermally driven currents. How are the national survival tunnels?

This is a scary topic, Cainanite...I agree with your premise that we're child-like (more like militant-like)...If you don't give it to us, we'll take it from you! Because we deserve it! Don't you know who we are? Most of America's rivers are little more than open sewers...They pass through towns and the treatment plants dump into them..There has been too little oversight of this sewage treatment...Towns will cheap out on treatment whenever possible...Probably thinking..." hey, who cares, let the next guy downstream worry about it" That's what the guy upstream said...We're drinking our own sewage...Something's got to give...

Thanks for the topic (and the chance to rant) Jackie

I had a dream last night.

It was so real. I was watching my television. Somehow, it had been turned to the Fox News Network.

I tried to wake myself, but I could not. I was FORCED to view their alleged newscast.

All of a sudden, a blinding light came into the room. A booming voice said, this is my son, hear him...

In a voice sweeter than a thousand angels I heard...

My second coming has been delayed indefinitely. In the whole world there no longer exists a virgin and three wise men...

...then everything went dark and I woke up.

...tell me moi, what does this mean?
