He is smart enough to hire excellent political advisors and staff. He is also brilliant in politics. I have no doubt about that. That is not the same as saying that he is wise. He may be. I do not know.

Bush reflects the beliefs and attitudes of ordinary Americans. That means you won't change minds by making him the target of venomous personal criticism. His normality protects him from you. If you disagree with your neighbors, take your disagreement directly to them. If you can offer a persuasive argument, you can change things. Just hanging out with people who agree with you, sulking and hating, is to lose.

I think it's just fabulous that PBS is changing to be more conservaitive.
The political blogs are reporting the new lineup of shows:
5pm A Very Special Bert and Ernie Special
Sesame Street becomes Rapture Road after Pastor Bob and Freedomland Development Corp. run all of the brown people out of the neighborhood. Homeless, penniless, and desperate, Bert and Ernie accept the Lord Jesus into their lives and begin reparative therapy.
6pm The Newshour with Jeff Gannon
In depth reports on why Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid hates puppies, Hillary's trail of bloody corpses, and the proper amount to tip military escorts.
7pm Nova, "Fun in the sun at the beaches of Prudoe Bay"
How Exxon Mobile is turning Alaska into a tropical paradise.
8pm Nature with Neal Horsley
Part 17 of Mr. Horsley's comprehensive look at mules.
9pm Jim Crow: A Documentary by Bob Jones III
Bob Jones University President, Bob Jones III, uses photographs, film, and audio recordings in an ode to traditional Heartland values.
11pm UBC World News
Fair and balanced world news from the Uzbek Broadcasting Corporation.

Dave, much better. Inaccurate depiction of conservatism, but at least told with wit and style.

I'm much more conservative than people suspect - mostly fiscal not social.
I believe that there is insufficient humor in the world.

yes but I would never say it in large font.
PBS = has the Red Green show, nova and a couple others but I really get tired of grovel time, time that they can stoop no lower begging for money. That is when the channel gets turned, and I don't care what show is on.
PBS radio is not much better, what really sucks is thats the only classical station up here. I have found a Jazz station I like but on Saturday evening at 5 PM, we tune in to Family Home Companion
PBS has a good market share here but me I would much reather have the classical station I had in St Louis.
But thats just my opinion.

Well, we all definitely know that the Red Green Show has no right-wing bias. In fact, it is probably one of the best advertisements for a public health-care system in existence. Add to that the fact that most of the characters have no visible means of support, one is a tree-hugger (and possibly does more than just hug them), and one is... well..... Harold, I'd have to say there is quite a definite tilt to the left on the show.
