I suspect that the intense pains of newborn circumcision sets up very strong and lifelong neuro paths in infant male brains that result from a male infant s most intense out of the womb experience. So soon after his birth, not understanding what is being done to him or why. Just intense pain in his penis, for how long being strapped down in a cutting board and helplessly getting cut so painfully in his penis. Whenever I write for the EA I try to capture a certain range of feelings. Sometimes I come close, but I never quite get it right. Like trying to grab a fish with my bare hands at the last second it always slips away. It's so maddening elusive. If my dad had had me cir'ed at age 12 I'd have that experience to draw on and I think my writing would be stronger for it. But who knows? Perhaps if I really understood how I felt there'd be no need for me to write at all.
