My brother owns a number of horses, mostly mares, and he has boarded them at farms who also raise cows as part of their businesses.

He has described what I can only put politely as vaginal exams of cattle and horses -- it involves the veterinarian's arm in a plastic glove up to the shoulder. And the veterinarian's arm just disappears in to the animal.

I personally will never under any circumstance shake the hand of a large animal veterinarian, never, never, never

I shudder to think of a moose with a (please don't make me say those words) problem
