Do you regret?

Nope--no regrets at all, so far.

And because I know you're all dying to know, yes, I can still get hard. It's just a bit more difficult at the moment since things are healing/in pain.

It's been about 6 months since I was castrated. I'm using AndroGel too and I get hard a lot but I rarely ever want sex. I guess my hormones are out of balance.

Congrats!

It is highly unlikely that low T is the problem as it can take up to 3 weeks for your natural T levels to drop down. It could be mental related...like those intact men who experience impotency. And like Kristoff said, the physical operation could also be a reason. You will notice in about 3 weeks from now (if you stay off any form of T) that you will get hot...really hot. You WILL KNOW when your T level is close to zero. You might be very lethargic and you will definitely not desire sex.

Anyway, how does it feel to you when you close your legs and not feel those orbs being clamped? Is it liberating to you as well?

Hi YodaNell,

I have absolutely zero intention of going off T. I plan to remain sexually active and maintain my T level more or less where it was pre-castration. I don't want to experience hot flashes, lethargy, lack of desire....any of it. And if I do experience it, I'll simply amp up the T...under my endocrinologist's supervision, of course.

I'm still swollen down below so it still feels like I have them. I suspect that it will be a mental adjustment once the swelling finally goes down, the same way it has been/is a mental adjustment to acknowledge that I actually went through with the procedure. It will take some time, but I'm pretty sure I'll be happy with things. I'm certainly doing fine so far.

Congratulations. Hope all feels better soon. I took a long time, many weeks for T to fall. I too intended T replacement from the start, but there was a delay in the supply so I ended up with zero T for a while. There were occasional hot flashes, but otherwise I felt very good. Zero interest in sex, relaxed, and very much at peace with the world. I was surprised that I was content, even preferring no sex. It felt so good that I deliberately delayed the resumption of T -eventually resuming mostly to keep my partner happy. At six months, there were no erections, a clearly reduced dick and an owner who had now had time to adjust to a medical castration. I very much enjoyed the zero-T state, and left to my own choice would perhaps have continued zero-T. It is good to have eunuch choice of T - all, some or none.

I had no lethargy, or even depression. In common with many others, after about six months of being a eunuch, ideas of getting professionally nullified started, but so far, no wish to transition otherwise. So for now I'm just a content M>E.

Welcome to the "club"!. :)

So thanks Qunuch81 for your honest replies. When you mentioned almost backing out, I can so see myself at that point. Next I have often wondered about the after moments, when does reality of your actions become real? Your statements that you are in disbelief at moments, so are there others that went through a period of "what did I do" are there spouses that brought the point home, is there a moment of realization, which I am quite sure is different for each individual. Anybody care to contribute? BTW Qunuch well done, I hope you recieve all you wish for from this process.

I almost backed out of my surgery too. I think it's a natural response to knowing you're entering a room to have permanently removed, a piece of your body that has been with you since you were born. In my case after I saw it, I was ecstatic, but I had doubts going in. Reading this thread you seem to have very similar feelings if I'm reading correctly. :)
