Indeed, in Germany we have this so called Kastrationsgesetz, which is intended for voluntary, mostly chemical castration of sex offenders. If you don't belong to this group, the law is completely useless for you.
Since October 2013 I'm looking for a legal way to get my genitals removed. I'm in contact with therapists who are well regarded, but all I was able to hear until now are things like impossible or prohibited by law. There seems to be almost no way for legal voluntary castration. The complete system is very afraid of removing healthy genitals. That's very frustrating. But I still have a little hope, as lately there seems to be a movement in my case that the doctors seem to accept I'm a MtE transgender and might try to give me a proper treatment based on this diagnosis, even if it will be difficult to convince all involved instances.
