Since it happened I initially lost 16lbs in muscle then over the following two years put on about 40lbs, almost entirely in abdominal fat it would seem. My diet to begin with wasn't great but when I have tried to cut back it seems to have little effect.

If I go walking a mile or two a day and eat less then after a few days I may notice a couple of pounds less but it is nothing dramatic. Same if I fast for a day or two, but I'd rather not do that.

Is there any diet I can follow that will ensure weight loss? Btw if you are going to suggest strenuous exercise forget it as I have a lost a ton of muscle and strength in my arms and legs.

Before I had Hypogonadism, I had a 44 inch wast. These last three years I stopped having seconds, and ate less at lunch (Quart to Pint container) and I have lost weight and now I'm down to a 39 inch wast. I do not eat candy nor drink any pop (non-diet), nor fast food, alway's brown bag lunch.

No bread, no pasta, no white carbs, no sugar (use Stevia as a substitute); no soft drinks, diet or otherwise; lots of protein, lots of colored vegetables and fruit. White wine is fine but avoid beer. It is not how much you eat but what you eat. Avoid additives, fast food and processed food. Moderate exercise. I lost 40 pounds and kept it off with this diet, it works.
