believe me
as someone that was castrated slowly over 3 years
first one testicle then the other
its been almost 20 years
my best advice
it shrinks a lot..and all those wonderful nerves get bundled together under the penis
if you have the scrotum removed ..just as well have the penis taken off as well
you will miss it ..and it takes a long time to heal
keep your scrotum....you will miss it later

I hear what you are saying about retaining the scrrotum and sensitivity, but I have felt mine and the most sensitive regions seem to be round the outside, in the tissue that will be retained after scrotal removal.
I had considered not having mine removed, but after reading of the discomfort suffered by some of the other members here, I have decided to have mine removed at the same time as my testicles. I can also not see the value in having an empty bag hanging around. Another reason I have opted for removal, is that I shave my entire body and shaving my scrotum is a pain and I often cut it, so shaving it post castration will be an absolute nightmare, better to just get rid of it and have smooth skin to shave down there.
I am going to see my old GP, who moved from the medical centre that I normally frequent on Friday. Since I know that he is also a qualified surgeon and performs minor surgical procedures in his office, I am going to try and get him to castrate me. I hope he will agree and that if so, he can perform the surgery very soon, as I am incredibly eager to have this done.
I read an old thread today about how people felt post voluntary castration and there was nor one dissenting vopice at all, in fact there was one guy who had been castrated as a result of an accident and even he had positive things to say about castration.
I just know I want them gone and the sooner the better.

I have no knowledge of the medical system or health insurance system in Australia. But as you continue this sham, at some point, if you get caught (for lying about the pain) either the insurance company won't pay or will sue you to get reimbursed, or if the government pays the cost they will want the money back, and either party could sue you for fraud. Really think about another way, a way that includes the TRUTH. When people you know you are willing to lie to your doctor, why should they believe that you ever telling the truth to them. You undermine your own credibility. Once people don't trust you, your life is pretty much socially over.

*Personal opinion*
Would you expect to find many tales of the horrors of eating disorders on a pro-ana site?
How about stories of how losing a limb destroyed someone's life on a voluntary amputation fetish site?
That's what you're getting by reading this site and expecting 'fair and balanced'.
That said, it is your life, and so long as you're willing to suck it up and accept the consequences if it goes wrong, it's entirely your call. Just don't try to pass the buck and the blame.

Micdavo12, if you really are interested in loosing your testosterone, don't go away, yet please do consider taking the path of trust and truth in all things, always.
There is place in the EA called "Fantasies and Introductions" Maybethat is where micdavo12 should post?
I am not inclined to believe in anything some one says when they admit they lie to their doctor. One fib leads to one lie, and to another, and a lifetime of them. Trust is like Humpty Dumpty. Once broken, never restored. Kidding and playing with peoples minds for fun is one thing, when the ruse if revealed; you get to be known as a jokster and as long as you remain truthful in serious issues, and people know you will be true when it's important, and just jest for fun when not serious, you can bridge the gap.
Of all places, the EA is the one place where one can ACTUALLY be completely truthful and honest. It's not necessary to take anyone's advice or respond to their opinions, but a lot of relief can be had by just spewing out the truth, knowing you won't have to suffer any consequences. (Although one would be ill advised to admit to any illegal activity....the EA has become my outlet to work through my confusion, illusion, and the journey).

Well I went for an ultrasound yesterday and got a call from the urologists office a few minutes ago to say that the ultrasound had uncovered some abnormalities and he wanted me to come in at noon today to discuss options.
I actually do have testicular pain, but not that bad, just a dull ache.
After the ultrasound it felt as if I had been kicked in the nuts, still does now, so wait and see what the doc says.

I guess there is nothing wrong with squeezing your nuts real hard before going into the Dr. office. At least you will be telling the truth, and there will be no tell tale marks.
After all, I DO understand the overwhelming desire to achieve castration. Done honestly and safetly.
Good Luck.

I hope we will hear an update on this soon. I'm interested to know how it went (if it did).
