Re: Aphorisms

Back when I first had a computer (in the eighties, and it was an Amstrad PCW) I remember somebody writing a program for it called an Aphorism Generator.
Ever such a simple program! It was in Basic, I think, and it just fed three random words into a short sentence.
"xxxxxx is the yyyyyy of zzzzzz"
Rather clever, I thought, back then!
I'll try to emulate it now. The words I choose aren't the original ones. I can't remember them, and OK I'm not spending a lot of time over it! But I'll give twelve options each for x, y and z, and you can all perhaps use them to make up your own aphorisms.
(ignore little problems like is/are!)
[X] Politics, religion, trade, sex, theatre, education, money, green, California, Britain, music, vegetables
[Y] Essence, fuel, fruit, root, bondage, lack, idea, quantum, mark, drug, hope, happiness
[Z] Dignity, the people, greed, ecology, the masses, happiness, ecstasy, misery, curiosity, plenitude, gratitude, grief.
Here's a random one.
Money is the bondage of grief!
Yeah, right!
