This story almost sounds like it came from the story section, and I am sure many hear would willingly say "OK!" But it is from a British paper....

KNIFE-WIELDING muggers CASTRATED a man after he refused to give them £50 to buy drugs.

Horrified victim Karolj Pasanski was pinned to the ground by two gangsters while a third expertly sliced off his testicles with a sharp blade.

The bloodied 43-year-old staggered for a mile to the nearest hospital in Subotica, Serbia, clutching his severed genitals in his hand.

Surgeons managed to save Pasanski's life - but couldn't replace his testicles.

“It was a very neat job with two small cuts. The attacker clearly has some sort of experience and training - possibly from castrating animals,” said one of the docs.

I really don't see why someone needs experience, as it's rather simple and obvious how to remove someone's testicles.

It sounds like they carefully made to smaller cuts to push the prize through rather then just cutting the whole thing off.

I may be a bit cynical but this sounds off. If you are castrating a struggling man in public where you could be seen at any time, are you going to take the time to make two small inciscions, pull out the testicles, and then leave them behind for him to take to the hospital. And even with two people holding him down, it wouldn't be easy to fish them out of the scrotum. Not impossible, but suspicious. I suspect if you were set on castrating someone in that situation you would just grab and slash.

The news item sounds like a not well thought out excuse for the ER people, that one of us would come up with after a trip to a cutter.
