Distortion

I wish that both parties would stop distorting truth. McCain and Obama ought to stop the distortions now. For example, Obama would reduce taxes on about 80 percent of families, not 95 percent.

Politics, Politics, Politics.

It is a politician's nature to distort the truth.

If politicians told us the complete truth, would we ever elect them to be a local dog catcher?

Phil Gramm thinks that Palin is more qualified then Obama. Talk about a reach.

He also thinks

Top McCain adviser Phil Gramm resigns as co-chairman of presidential campaign

Gramm said last week, "We have sort of become a nation of whiners"

Gramm later said he was criticizing nation's leaders

Gramm says comments have become a "distraction" for McCain campaign

Another good right wing Christian heard from.

Yea, I would. I have worked for enough of them and known sufficient numbes of them to be thankful some people serve us. I like the political people I know.

There are good and bad on both sides of the isle.

Plenty of blame to go around and plenty of good works to show.

RiverYes, indeed. Some of the poeple I most admire differ from me poltically in profound ways. We bash our political leaders at our own loss. Government is necessary even though some of us think we sometimes have too much of it and some of us think we have too litte. I don't respect our current president and vice-president but there are many I do respect from all over the spectrum.

I try to read the fact checks during campaigns and those services are good. It does make a difference whether Senator Obama's claims to cut taxes is 95 percent of 80 percent of families. It makes a difference to know what the context for his claims are. That is the sort of thing that concerns. me.

It is true that Obama has said he would cut taxes, to the poor and middle class, McCain is with Bush to cut taxes for the rich. One says we need the extra money and it will help the economy with more to spend, the other says by cutting taxes to the rich they will be able to create new jobs.

Now the question is, which one do you believe, RIGHT.
