Product of the week

Nutshellz™ bullet resistant groin protectors are high-end protective cups for police, military, and the professional full contact athlete. Their motto is "Protect Your Pecker."

One size fits all (?) – U.S.$125.00

http://armorednutshellz.com/

There are even Ballistic Test Videos on the site:

Nothing is bullet proof! Anything can be penetrated by something if the speed of that something is going fast enough. It is important to refer to the NIJ standard when comparing levels of bullet resistance. Nutshellz™ “Level II” protective cups will stop a level 2 NIJ threat from a center shot at the distance set in the standard. The cup is designed to swallow the round, not deflect it. This is very important because if a bullet slid off the cup, it would likely go into the thigh and hit the femeral [sic] artery causing a bleed out.

“Level III” and “Level IV” Nutshellz™ are coming soon.

If you're not up to a $125.00 cup, they also sell a $20.00 T-shirt with the motto "We protect them all: the long, the short and the tall."

IED's, claymore mines, and fragmentation grenades have been hitting our soldiers below the belt (to put it in blunt terms). Those bombs explode up from the ground with lots of shrapnel (think nails, ball bearings, anything tiny and metal) and the soldiers body armor while it might have a panel that protects from a bullet from the front or side does not protect from underneath.

So this is a good thing if we are going to send soldiers into urban warfare situations.

Then there are the MMA fighters, catchers in baseball and some other people who do very dangerous things and need protection.

I wonder if the deployed are purchasing them on their own.

...and as professional sports becomes more violent, there's a whole new market. Also parents of young boys who have a singular interest in being grandparents might want to consider making this a staple of what their child wears when he goes out to play. Youtube is populated with clips of the young "getting it" in the groin; Nothing is more sickening than watching a skate boarder practicing self castration whilst attempting to slide down a rail and flipping the board in mid slide. Just seeing them writhing on the ground holding their genitals should be impetus to buy this. Not only that but if you're marriage is going poorly and your wife is particularly aggressive.....

That was priceless. :D

On topic - so it will stop handgun bullets... Not bad, but to protect from shrapnel from mines. etc, IMO, this is only part of solution.
