Last Thursday February 11, 2010 there was snow on the ground in all 50 States. From the panhandle of Florida, Dallas Texas, the peaks of Hawaii, all 50 states, however it only snowed in 49 of them, Hawaii was the only holdout.

Re: Snow
I have cliffs 5 feet high on either side of the driveway.
We cannot see the parking lot from the lunch room at work any more; the snow banked up against the windows above 6 feet.
I shudder to think of a sudden warming and the subsequent run-off...
It's been a stunning amount of snow this year.

Re: Snow
The funny thing is this is one of the warmest ever winters in Vancouver (where I live). We got no snow at all in the city. Last year I shoveled my driveway 18 times and we had snow up to my knees. We had toboggan runs that lasted for over a month. This year not even one snowball and hasn't even dropped below freezing except for a couple nights.
At least the weather is actually nice for the Olympics. We were just downtown and it was totally beautiful. Clear and not too cold.
But still it is the oddest weather I've seen in 30 years here.

Another fine example of
Scheduling a Winter Olympics and a warm winter at the same time.
