No, the brake issues on the Prius is punishment for mindless consumerist fad-liberals who don't bother doing their homework.

Buying something to soothe one's own conscience at face value is hardly liberal. More like liberal-wannabe, or poseur-liberals.

If I wanted to save the planet I'd buy a small city car like the VW Polo Bluemotion. Eco cars cost a lot less pollution to produce than hybrid cars which use toxic batteries, and produce just as little, if not even less g/km of CO2, and often offer as good as, or even better fuel efficiency.

The Prius is a cynical marketing exercise.

VERY well spoken! Punkypink. And then there's the case of the big huge fancy homes built out in the middle of nowhere and/or on a cliff and/or in the forest out of you guessed it: "GREEN" materials! Well whooptydoo! At the magazine shop I see these architectural publications practically proclaiming GREEN GREEN GREEN and I look at them inside and roll my eyes. Yeah. Right! And I could go on about a lot of other stuff too.

I never liked the Prius or understood why a car going freeway speeds using the same gasoline as any other common car of the same weight at freeway speeds should get car pool lane privileges for what it can do on city streets.

All such a political game.

Now, what revenge on Prius owners?

Especially, the one's cruising so slow as if not to turn on their gasoline engines. A special place in hell.

Maybe forced to drive their Prius in a special stop and go Prius lane for eternity.
