Banded sex

I have recently got myself an elastrator, it is great, feels so good as the band slowly tightens around my ball and the pain increases. The longest a band had been on is about 30 minutes and this was when I was tied down and had to beg for it to be cut off, and that hurt a lot too.

An erection can vary in hardness/fullness for several reasons. The most likely of which in your case is heightened arousal. The prospect of losing your nuts can totally enhance your arousal level which will in turn give you a fuller erection.
I will suggest to you that there are other stimuli that will do this for you, you just need to discover them.
Do not let the heat of the moment create a situation that you might later regret. You and your wife need clear guidelines of what is acceptable. Once your nuts are lost, you cant get them back, and in most cases Eunuchs on HRT do not have the type of erections that you are experiencing during banding. And your wife would not llikely find them as enjoyable.
I say again, it is about finding the right stimuli...

I tried banding once. I used a big heavy rubber band would several times. It gave me an immense erection despite my lack of sexual desire at the time. After 45-minutes the pain got too intense so I cut it off. Then I spent a very bad night and most of the next day recovering. This was not something that I would wish to repeat despite wanting castration.
There is a risk of blood clots that could prove fatal. Be careful.

It would be interesting to hear from anyone who has caused permanent damage to their balls through banding. Maybe resulting in accidental castration or loss of sex drive or continuing pain? How long have bands been left on and how frequently was it done?

The mythology about banding is that it takes two hours to kill your nuts with an elastrator. Typically your balls will turn dark blue due to lack of oxygen. I call it mythology because that number is tossed about quite often, including in EA stories. I have no practical knowledge to either confirm or deny, so let's assume that two hours is accurate.
Many of the posts I have read suggest that the longer you leave a band on, the longer your nuts (or penis) will take to recover. Going beyond two hours is said to permanently kill your nuts, with no recovery possible. I have read where guys have been numb for days after banding...
As for stimuli, well, everyone has their own triggers, so mine will not likely work for you. I have to assume that you already know this, but your post suggests that you do not. Read some of the stories and see what gets you hottest. FANTASY is great for enhancing a sexual relationship (like your marriage) so the more you experiment, the more you will discover.

Using a penile "band" to maintain an erection is not supposed to go beyond 30 minutes but I assume there is some fudge factor in that. I think playing around with Banding is pretty scary stuff. Be very carefull!

A very comparable situation would be to look at the impacts of Testicular Torsion. Check that out. You will find that for the most part, the nuts are pretty resilient. Cases of torsion have gone as long as 12 or more hours before correction or destruction. It can be highly variable no doubt; but I would highly doubt two hours as an outside figure. OTOH, anyone who can stand the pain for that long deserves a purple heart, er, dick, medal.

Kristoff has it right. forget dead nuts after 2 hours. If you presented at an ER and told them you'd been banded for 6 to 8 hours they would easily safe your balls. BUT you would loose the scotum. Much more than 2 hours would make it touch and go for the sac. Nuts are touch little cookies

I've played with an elastrator fo 30 plus years with no appearant damage. The band always comes off right after orgasim. I find that pushing a finger under the band and pulling the band off is less painfu than cuttng the band and letting it snap.
