Sudan man forced to 'marry' goat
A Sudanese man has been forced to take a goat as his "wife", after he was caught having sex with the animal.
The goat's owner, Mr Alifi, said he surprised the man with his goat and took him to a council of elders. They ordered the man, Mr Tombe, to pay a dowry of 15,000 Sudanese dinars ($50) to Mr Alifi.
"We have given him the goat, and as far as we know they are still together," Mr Alifi said.
Mr Alifi, of Hai Malakal in Upper Nile State, told the Juba Post newspaper that he heard a loud noise around midnight on 13 February and immediately rushed outside to find Mr Tombe with his goat.
"When I asked him: 'What are you doing there?', he fell off the back of the goat, so I captured and tied him up."
Mr Alifi then called elders to decide how to deal with the case. "They said I should not take him to the police, but rather let him pay a dowry for my goat because he used it as his wife," Mr Alifi told the newspaper.

Well, now I've seen the same news about a man forced to marry a goat appear with three different countries pointed out, in as many months - Pakistan, Somalia and Sudan. The first was a few months ago in the news from a very large Swedish news agency - supposedly in a village in rural Pakistan. Then a piece similar to this, but with Somalia as the place of origin. And now Sudan, from BBC no less.
An urban myth? It may even be more sinister. I see a pattern, in that they are all poor countires, in areas typically regarded as "backwards", all moslem, all non-white. That doesn't feel very good.
I don't blame Jesus (not THIS Jesus, anyway...) for posting this here, but well, after seing it so often and the similarities - I don't laugh anymore.

Just goes to show how backward these people are. Any civilized person would know that sheep are much better than goats.

You want a Sheep to fuck the Goat? And I don't think they were backwards. The guy and the goat were facing the same way.

Reminds me of that waiter back in Montana. I ordered the sheep herders special. Cup of coffe and a piece of ewe.
