Ma Bell and a clone?

Did you hear of the lonely genetic scientist who had more ideas than he had time for so he decided to clone a duplicate of himself to help him out with his research.
Three weeks later he had a fully grown clone of himself and both began working on his research. Oh, his identical clone had just one slight, genetic flaw...it cursed day and night.
After only a few months, the scientist was going mad with rage as he couldn't stand the cursing clone. One day he had taken enough. He told the clone to walk with him over to the canyon to see the sunset. As the clone looked into the canyon, the scientists gave him a push and over the clone fell.
Feeling some remorse, the scientist called the police admitting his deed, but he wasn't charged with murder.
He was charged with......
Making an obscene clone fall.
