A win win win situation.
Dig a moat the length of the Mexican border, take the dirt and raise the levies in New Orleans and put the Florida alligators in the moat.
Any other problems you would like for me to solve?

As your official problem solver, do what I said about the alligators and the motes, annex Mexico as the 51st State, England as the 52nd State.
Problem solved. Anything else?

Not sure about England. But Mexico to be invited INVITED (not annexed - what does this mean) as our 51'st State, El Salvador our 52'd State, Canada our 53'rd State and so on.
All friends again "without Border problems" since there are no longer any BORDERS left.
But it has to be a mutual agreeable thing. Does the President of Mexico have an Email Address ?? Regards Johan-in-Washington, N3RF

n3rf, no. ANNEX Mexico. I was born the year Texas became a State, so I didn't get to see all the action in the Battle of the Alamo and the Mexican-American War. So, I, personally would like to see another Mexican-American War just to see what it would be like in my native State. Sounds exciting. Wow! Border partrol, infra-red....
My fantasies are now getting carried away!!!
Ride 'em Cowboy!!!
Yeee Hah!

You simply do not realise that adding the UK (not England) would cause the whole US shebang to collapse. Some years ago a study was done to find the effect of what would happen:
1. 1 American in 5 would be from the UK
2. 1 Dollar in 5 (US GDP) would be generated by the UK Economy
3. The UK would generate more GDP than the next two US states combined.
4. The UK would be something like the 3rd smallest state in land area.
In order to cope with the increased representation the lower house of Congress would have to be greatly enlarged.
The jealousies and insecurities of the rest of the states would be so much that the US could break apart.
Incidentally, on the land area thing, another study listening to our moans about the overcrowded roads compared to the US Highway system looked at what would happen if you took LA (pop 4million, approx) together with it's freeways and put it onto London (pop 9 million, approx).
The freeways would start off the coast of Wales, in the Irish Sea and extend across to France. In so doing, it would cover most of the South of England in concrete (an area where over 40 million live). I vote to ban private cars!
LOL

Adding Canada would cause the opposite problem -- the combined population of Canada would barely affect national politics, and the wide open spaces would drive those in LA insane.
And Canadians don't like alligators.
