Amy, was a blonde city girl who married a Texas rancher. One morning on his way out to check on the cattle the rancher told Amy, "The artificial insemination man is coming over to impregnate one of our cows today. I drove a nail into the two-by-four just above the cow's stall in the barn. You show him which the cow it is when he gets here, okay?" Amy nodded and then the rancher left for the fields.

After a while, the artificial insemination man arrived and knocked on the front door. Amy took him down to the barn. They walked along long rows of cows and when she saw the nail, she told him, "This is the one... right here."

Terribly impressed by what he initially thought might be just another ditzy blonde, the man asked, "Tell me little lady, how did you know this is the cow to be bred?"

"That's simple. By the nail over its stall, Amy explained very confidently. Then the man asked, "What is the nail for?

She turned to walk away, and with complete confidence, said: "I guess it's to hang your pants on..."
