Doctor Visit

I went to the doctor today only to discover my PCP was not in. Thank goodness for that, because the substitute was the nicest doctor I've ever had in my life. There's no other way to say it - this doctor was just plain nice :)

He said he has no problem with me being TS. If the other doctor ever quits prescribing E, he's happy to pick up where he left off.

He ordered lab work that includes liver function, metabolic panel, clotting factor, thyroid function, and serum T levels.

He sat down with me and went over several antidepressants and let me choose the one I wanted - no psychiatrist needed. I ended up going with Celexa. I start tomorrow.

He also gave me Valium as soon as I asked for it (the one Kimmel gave me worked quite well for the insomnia).

This doctor is definitely a keeper. They told me I could continue seeing him even though he is not my PCP because they're all in the same group. Once I lose my insurance, I am free to continue seeing him at $30 a visit.

In my short time on this earth I've seen many a doctor, and I've never been as happy as I am with this one :)

Plix,

Thanks for letting us know how it went. Happy you found someone cooperative and understanding.

(Wow -- $30 a visit! That's nothing these days. Unheard of.)
