Ever since I read that article this morning, I've been trying to recall the title and author of a science fiction story I read as a child.

In the story, an expedition traveled to an inhabited planet, and lo and behold, the women were surpassingly beautiful. The exobiologist from Earth warned the other members of the group to avoid any sort of contact with the native women until such time as he'd had a chance to study their ways, in order to avoid offending them, and creating an incident.

Of course, one of the men from Earth couldn't control his desires, and had sex with a native woman. As he tried to withdraw his penis after orgasm, the woman's vagina closed around its base, and a sharp, bony ridge severed the thing flush with his crotch. As he lay bleeding to death, the biologist said something on the order of, "Couldn't you have waited one more day, you idiot? I was just completing my research, and had arrived at the conclusion that the native women cannot reproduce unless the man's organ remains within their vagina." Ouch!

If any of the EA members have read that story, I'd appreciate learning its title or author. Oughta be worth another read.

They need to stick this up their butts, too.
