Fred, the bat, was on his way home one night covered in blood. He arrived at the bat cave, flew up to the ceiling and hung upside down with his friends. As he began to close his eyes, his fellow bats began to waken. "Somebody's got food" they exclaimed.

Soon the entire cave was awake. They were all bugging Fred for the source of the blood but he tried to ignore them. After constant pestering, Fred agreed to take them to the blood source.

They all flew out of the cave, over the hills and high over a meadow. Hovering in the air, Fred began to speak.

"You guys see that fence" and all the bats nodded.

"You guys see that juicy looking cow" and all the bats drooled and nodded.

"You guys see that tree next to the cow" and the bats nodded.

Fred then said, "I didn't."
