Ever since Pavlov and his dog we have known that it is possible to condition certain physical reactions via rewards and punishments. Does anyone know if is possible to condition onself into being impotent?

Some have taken shots to destroy the penile nerve, causing the cock to be useless for stimulation. That might be a handy route to go..

An interesting idea, and just more stimulus for my thought that in an ideal world self-denial of physical manhood would be so mainstream as an option that one could pop around to a neighborhood castration clinic to discuss these matters.

A gay friend of mine, who comes from a Mormon family, actually underwent electric shock therapy (yep, electrodes attached to his genitals) in a quack doctor's attempt to "cure" his sexual orientation. He was shocked every time he was aroused by gay porn images. Needless to say, he is still gay (and now out and proud).
In any case, while aversion therapy might theoretically change sexual response I don't think realisticly it would be effective.
There is a realistic possibility of induced impotence using SSRI type drugs (like Prozac, Celexa, etc.). Those anti-depressants affect a large portion of users with "sexual dysfunction" such as impotence. If you're "lucky" to be so affected I think you can acheive your goal of being otherwise healthy, but impotent or at least seriously desensitized.

Beta-blocker anti-hypertension medication can have the same effect. But however much one might wish to be impotent, one should not take either type of medication simply to induce impotence, that is to say unless one needs to treat the underlying condition these powerful drugs with other possible side effects are intended for (hypertension and depression).

Okay, here's the way to do it. Fashion a chastity device that has sharp points on the inside. Any time you get aroused it pokes you. Oh, wait, that might just arouse this audience. Okay, okay... here it is: yeah, it still pokes you, but with a needle full of phenylephrine that stops your erection dead in its tracks. The rest of the time you keep it deadened with Ambesol. Eventually the nerves die from the Ambesol and you're numb and limp. You'd have a friend milk you every now and then... but that's the fun part.
