Some Wal-Mart customers soon will be able to sample a new discount item: Walmart's own brand of wine.

The world's largest retail chain is teaming up with E&J Gallo Winery of Modesto,California, to produce the spirits at an affordable price, in the $2-5 range. While wine connoisseurs may not be inclined to throw a bottle of Walmart brand wine into their shopping carts, there is a market for cheap wine, said Kathy Micken, professor of marketing at Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I. She said, "The right name is important."

So, here we go: The top 13 suggested names for Walmart Wine:

13. Chateau Traileur Parc

12. White Trashfindel

11. Big Red Gulp

Nice Wine names, but, I prefer the standard wines of my youth:

Red Mountain, Night Train and that genuine classic taste of nectar for guys on bum, Ripple.

Thunderbird was a cheap wine...

In 1972 Ohio sold cheap wine in quart plastic jugs (no cork, but a straw attached)

And in 1969 I tasted ASTI SPUMANTI and hated it. Recently a friend talked me into a glass and I still hate . It's carbonated grape swill. . . Just thought I'd share that with you.

In my neighborhood, those of us who chose a darker persuasion (along with Republicans) keep Sam’s gulag open. You need some wine names for us. Maybe, Chez Chittlings. For Republicans: Bush's Cheap Labor Blush.
