I have noticed that virtually all new sign-ups end up hung in the waiting for email confirmation category.

Can someone PLEASE confirm to me that email is being sent from the boards properly? Anyone who subscribes to threads, etc.

I have elected not to recieve email notification, and yet on occasion I still get them. I visit here at least once a day and don't see a need to be notified by email. Perhaps whatever is causing this override is fouling up the notifications?

Can you let me know what the messages say? I see in your user information that you still have email notification turned on for when you get a private message.

We use a stock installation of vBulletin, and there haven't been any bug reports about sending out unwanted emails.

as far as as I can tell I have thread notification _on_ (always had) but have never ever recived any such mails. so sometimes I forget to peek in here.

I never got them, so I turned it off.

Apart from one concerning my recent birthday, I never had had emails from the board, but then I never expected any, either.

Yes I do have the private message notification turned on, but as for the others I still get them. Here is a recent email sent to me:

i have no idea how it is supposed to work or how many threads i have subscribed to, but i get a few every day.

on an unrelated note, i still can't get stats from "at the Ranch". i was just curious thats all. i posted it in 2000. it would be fun to see how many hits it has gotten. it does not show up in the stats like my other ones.

I had a member send me both a private message and an email from the board. I didn't get either the email or the email notification of the private message. I have email notifications turned on.
