So exactly what is it that is causing the pain in the lower left abdomen during castration.... is it a certain organ, or what is it...and would it still be present if attempted following a vasectomy? Is it caused by the compression of the vas def? or the blood supply?

The only person that can answer that question is your Doctor, which I think you should get to post hast.

Sorry for the vagueness....
If anyone here has attempted banding, or self-castration I would suppose they might know. My question doesn't deal with my personal castration- but my attempts at it.
In many of the internet accounts, along with my own personal attempts. There is a huge painful ache in the lower left abdomen aprroximatly 20-30 minutes after the ring is placed above the scrotum. This pain increases to such a point it becomes unbearable, and leaves me without sucess- as I assume many other people have.
Not that I'm considering to perform this again; however, I would like to know for my own knowledge since I don't know. What is it that is causing this pain (ie- appendix, prostate, or something else????) and is this a direct result of the vas def being compressed and blocked, or the artery and vein? The finally I'm curious if it is the vas def, would it be easier to self-castrate following a vasectomy.
Hope this is a better question.

Why is it felt in the lower left abdomen, and not in the testicles then?

It verys from person to person. It's the nerves that go to the testicles. (I just may not be correct though)

Yeah it is defintely the nerves, I have felt that pain from squeezing the testicles and piercing them with needles and pins. The nerves up from the testicles thru you abdomen, I'm not sure what causes the the pain sensation to occur in your abdomen.

Testicle pain is often felt in the abdomen for a simple reason -- testicles are really internal organs that descend to hang outside. Technically all feeling in the testicles will seem to originate roughly where a woman's ovaries are.
Most of the time our logical knowledge that the testicles are hanging down allows our brain to locate the pain there, but if you really stop to analyze the actual sensations you'll find that they originate internally.
Note this is not really a pain referral -- rather it is a fundamental fact about where the testicles start in their development.
