Every day there are news reports about more deaths. Every

night on TV there are photos of death and destruction. Why are we still

there?

We occupied this land, which we had to take by force, but it

causes us nothing but trouble. Why are we still there?

Many of our children go there and never come back. Why are

we still there?

Their government is unstable, and they have loopy

leadership. Why are we still there?

Many of their people are uncivilized. Why are we still

there?

The place is subject to natural disasters, to which we are

supposed to bail them out. Why are we still there?

There are more than 1000 religious sects, which we do not

understand. Why are we still there?

Their folkways, foods and fads are unfathomable to ordinary

Americans. Why are we still there?

We can't even secure the borders. Why are we still there?

They are billions of dollars in debt and it will cost

billions more to rebuild, which we can't afford. Why are we still there?

It is becoming VERY clear...

WE MUST PULL OUT OF CALIFORNIA !!!!!!!!!

I think California is a wonderful place to live and many people from the other 49 states agree and enjoy spending their vacations here. We certainly are not the biggest or most important state in the country and we don't pretend that we are either. I believe every state in the union has some thing special to offer. If you don't agree you can still probably find one you like. After all there are fifty to choose from.

Hope Texas is big enough for you.

As a native Californian, I too think the Great State of California is wonderful, beautiful, full of people but still offers more than the other 49 states.

The California Technology, Trade and Commerce Agency recognized two well-respected economic reports today that indicate the State's $1.4 trillion economy was fifth largest in the world during 2000.

"California's diverse economy continues to demonstrate its key role as a prime hemispheric gateway for trade in the U.S. and abroad," said Lon Hatamiya, secretary of technology, trade and commerce. "The economy grew from $1.2 trillion in 1999 to $1.35 trillion in 2000, the seventh consecutive year of growth. That pushed us ahead of France to become the fifth-largest economy globally."

The ranking is based on World Bank figures that rank countries based on gross domestic product for 2000, and the UCLA Anderson Forecasting Project, which estimates that the California gross state product was $1.36 trillion in 2000. The GDP is the output of all goods and services produced by an economy. California's output would rank fifth if included in the ranking of countries.

California would follow the United States, Japan, Germany, the United Kingdom in ranking if it were an independent nation. Following France, the top 10 would be rounded out by China, Italy, Canada and Brazil.

Interesting. I want to make it clear that I LOVE California. I actually consider it my 2nd home. I spend my vacation money in California and hope to retire there someday. Just please understand I personally like good political jokes, social humor and I don't bash anyone's state or home and try to take with a lighthearted attitude any jokes make about Texas. Believe me some of the jokes you fine folks have sent about Texas are the truth and nothing but the truth!
