Can a person that is castrated(either by meds or surg) attain a state of asexuality?

I was wondering if a person can become adrogenous, and have no sex drive, no urges. Do castrated people still have a sex drive or urges?

Is there any sure way for someone to attain the 'eunuch's calm'?

That may be your desired state, which sounds nice. However, there is no absolute guarantee. As Andrew said, "Your Milage Will Vary".

My ideal state has always been unattainable for me. Now, the most that I can hope for is to be a full nullo. However, that is even a remote possibility.

Yes, I have been a eunuch sense 9/6/02 and I do not have any sex drive, no sex urges, nothing. The eunuchs that have a sex drive are the ones on HRT for the most part. As for the eunuch calm, I agree with Krister, its a myth.

You asked some very good questions and each of us is giving you a slightly different answer :)! I think it is possible to obtain all of your goals but DO try

the chemical route and get some support from your Dr/MD first who will give you blood tests before you start and some months into your course.

On another board it is suggested very clearly that chemical castration is even more effective in "closing down testosterone" than surgery. Taking a drug is far less likely to lead to depression - if you seriously hate the results, stop taking the medicine and nothing is lost! Also, you could ask your same Dr for a very mild anti-depressant if you really did get depressed; it is less likely

via this route and you stand every good chance of being asexual, having no libido and feeling contented. Can I point out the existence of a web-site that will interest you - www.asexuality.org . It has slower "traffic" than this site but has many interesting postings. I would recommend that you do see someone from your own medical practice and that you choose a drug which has been approved by the medical authorities in your own country.

I hope this year you may leave "sorrow" behind and be a happy person; good luck!

Yes, try Androcur first. You'll feel castrated and then you can decide if you like it.

Yes; you will become asexual once castrated without taking testosterone. I am a full surgical Eunuch and do not take any male hormones. I have no sexual urges or thoughts, fantasys of any sort. I am completely impotent. What remains of my genitals has shrunk to les than half its lenght and girth. After I was castrated I went on T for a time and had full urges but no erections or orgasms.I was constantly frustrated wth no release. The incident that caused my castration also destroyed the ability of my penis to function sexually. I gave up on the T and went hormone free. I had all symptons of loss of T with the Hot flashes, upper bdy Muscle loss. my arms lost their muscle and became like a womans. My skin softened and most of my male pattern body hair disappeared ( totally under my arms) I got sensitive nipples and a litle breast growthl. My hips and bum became fatter and rounder. I never had the depression that oher Eunuchs suffered. It did take a period of time to mentally adjust to my new situation. I began what I believe will be a lifelong battle with my weight. I remained like that for four years. I started to take female hormones for bone health. I now have female breasts and while i never felt transexual while intact I like the affects and plan to continue. I now have a very female thought process that is probably permanent. I can still take the spiders out of the bath but I am not too keen on mice; I would not be in the same room as one. I may in the future transition socially and may go all the way. I am small in stature and light boned and can easily pass as a female. There has been no affect on my asexuality. I do not miss my sexuality and am quite happy as I am. I still identify as a Eunuch

Even though this is a very old thread I felt the need to respond to littletits and other curious folk. I have been a no T eunuch for 14 years. I still masturbate and my penis still becomes erect when manipulated. Several years ago I had a sexual relationship with a man. I do not want to attemp a relationship again bit I do enjoy looking at photos of men and reading stories. One can never predict 100% how they will change post castration.

I agree with Tugon. You still will have your moments and can become sexually stimulated. Although you're just don't bothered with it as much as much others around you.

I'm more with Tugon. I'm a nullo and not on hormones, and I'm still sexual. My guess is that this all depends on what's in your head to begin with--my need for release is quite a bit less than before, but sexual attraction is as strong as ever.
