I'm looking for reliable/realistic information on 'human banding as a castration technique', as opposed to chemical or surgical castration.

I'm not even that familiar with the 'veterinary' variant, but was told it would quite working on a human.

I'm not 'up to anything' but am trying to get my bearing around the subject to incorporate banding in a story that is sort of hatching in my strange mind.

So, Is there a link/document on the EA or elsewhere on the net that could be interesting to me?

From my own experience banding for more than an hour is extremely discomfortable -- the most I've made it is 2 & 1/2 hours before taking it off. With animals, part of the reason it works is because they simply can't take it off -- animals that are banded show their discomfort by rubbing their banded balls on trees and stuff. While a few brave (foolhardy?) humans have managed to band themselves long enough it is not recommended by me.

Now, with that being said: medical literature says that if the blood supply to the testicles is fully constricted for 24 hours then the balls are unsalvageable. You can confirm this by reading up on the medical condition called "testicular torsion" (where the spermatic cords get twisted around the blood supply and cut it off). Therefore, it seems to me that rather than keeping yourself banded until the balls fall off (more than a week), it may be possible to band them for 24 hours to achieve your goal. Since it is still hard to imagine being voluntarily banded that long, I suggest that you can use a friend/partner that will tie you for 24 hours until your balls are ruined -- that person can monitor you to ensure you are otherwise safe.

Anyway, those are my thoughts on the subject -- banding yourself until your balls rot off just doesn't seem like the greatest method.

If the scrotum and testicles are banded for 24 hours, the scrotum be rotting off too and will require medical attention to avoid gangrene, right?
