Castration Effects on the Body/Mind

While written for prostate cancer patients (over 600,000 of whom are on chemical castration), Richard Wassersug's book Androgen Deprivation Therapy provides excellent information about the results of eliminating testosterone from a male body. It focuses mostly on Lupron because it is the most commonly used chemical castration drug for PCa patients, but it applies to any other castration as well.
Richard has also conducted research on the voluntary eunuch community and has authored or co-authored over a dozen papers about the group (and about himself as a prostate cancer eunuch). He and I are on the program for the upcoming conference of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health in Amsterdam next month. Our presentation is titled Becoming a Eunuch: Voluntary Castration in the Modern World. We are attempting to make voluntary castration much easier to obtain for the MtE and Xenomelia folk.
Richard's book is easy to find on Amazon (or other on-line book sellers). Just type in Wassersug and the book will probably be the first hit.
