Bergman's "The Seventh Seal"

Watched Ingmar Bergman’s “ The Seventh Seal “ on TMC last night, for the first time in probably twenty years. It was as pretentious and heavy handedly symbolic as I remembered it, but also amazingly powerful. Astonishingly beautiful black and white cinematography. It has to be the most Goth movie ever made. The chess game against Death, the parade of flagellants, the burning of the young witch, the mood is perfectly Goth. And for the philosophically inclined, it is one of the most horrific Horror movies ever made. I was channel surfing and hit it by accident. It reached out and grabbed me and wouldn't let go till the end. And I had nightmares about the burning witch. One of the all time great movies.
Also check out the parody thereof "The Dove" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8X2QmLWWxq4) and it's badminton match with Death.
