Fictionmania's fate?

Since an acquaintance sent some stories there, I have formed the habit of checking Fictionmania every few days to see if anyone I know has contributed. About a week ago they disappeared, and haven't resurfaced. Wondered if any of the people here who contribute stories around the web have any info?

Fictionmania has been a stalwart in transgender fiction for over a decade; I've checked it almost daily for many years, and had several stories posted there.

Two years ago, it went down for a long period... about 11 months, but it came back. The domain and (non-working) server were still there all through the downtime.

This time, though, I fear the worst.

It's generating a (admittedly custom) 404 error page now; it looks like somebody has pulled the plug. I've heard rumours (ONLY rumours) that the main owner may have ragequit and burned the bridges, but I'm hoping that's just mindless trolling.

So yeah... we may have just lost one of the largest and oldest story repositories (not including our own EA!) on the web.

AAAAND it's back.

Yay! They managed a full recovery.

And THAT, folks, is why one should never, ever listen to gossip! (See my post above... blush!)
