REPO MAN 1984,

Emilio Estevez, Harry Dean Stanton, an alien and a Chevy Malibu...

A very unusual movie about repossessing cars with Harry Dean Stanton chewing up the screen as the old veteran repo man teaching Emilio Estevez a wannabe skinhead punk (before that was a bad thing) how to repossess cars.

This could be a tough, gritty story of the lowest professions of life, the down and out hardships, travesties, and hateful acts man inflicts on other men. But it isn't. It could be a satiric commentary on Repo Men and their cheapskate customers. But it isn't.

There's an alien in the trunk and the CIA, nuclear weapons, with lots of gratuitous screwing is involved.

Strange, weird and funny...

Sort of sit back with a beer (or stronger) for the ride...

"The life of a REPO MAN is always intense"

Iggy Pop does the theme song -- a charming ballade in honor of repo men everywhere.

Brings back memories. I really liked that movie, even as strange as it was - maybe because I am just nuts enough to get into it. Besides, Emilio Esteves is hot.

Not in this movie. A radioactive alien is in the trunks and that's not a spoiler. That's part of the plot.

I like the movie caddy shack where a chocolate babe ruth bar was mistaken for a floating turd The entire pool had to be sterilized. The lady witnessing one of the cleaning crew take a bite from that chocolate was priceless !!! P🙄🙏

NB = But yeah I remember Repo-Man, such a weird movie but i'll take this film over the newer 2010 "Repo-Men" anyday. That film was crap. Sorta makes me scared if corporations were tohave their way leasing artificial organs to people and forcefully reposses them back if people didn't pay their fee's.

I don't remember USED CARS. I'll have to watch for it.

I do remember STAKEOUT which was another silly comedy.

And going on the 6 degrees stuff -- Richard Dreyfus in MOON OVER PARADOR. I just saw that repeated on cable.

One of those films you watch by yourself when you didn't mean to be alone or by yourself. Somebody speaking whilst this is playing makes you want to put them in a trunk. This, and other films on the warped scale, is what kept Harry Dean Stanton from having a greater career. The next step up from him is Billy Bob Thornton....sort of goes together, Stanton, Thornton....I wonder what's playing right now that's either weird or perverted or both. Maybe Netflix....
