It's interesting to imagine that you're the insurance agent on the phone with the parent of a newly deballed kid and you're trying not to laugh as a parent explains, carefully, just what has happened and what sort of claim they need to file. You know the claim agent is rolling on the floor as he-or she-goes through the standard questions as to what happend, what was involved, the body part injured, the doctor's report, did they go to the emergency room, describe the wound etc.

Speaking of Spanish soaps (novelas) there has been one going on for maybe a year now. It's centered around a person who transgendered. It's called "Por Ella Soy Eva" but I just never liked it nor could I ever get involved in keeping up with it, and then I never cared for the timber and pitch of that type of voice she uses too.

Love the Telenovelas. When I'm in Buenos Aires I'll almost walk away from what I'm doing to watch one, anyone, doesn't matter. I think we could safely describe the plots as, "A lot happens". Canal Trece is awash with them and some of them are so convoluted it's hard to know when one is over and another has started. I'm reasonably fluent in Spanish and Porteno and I still have to ask people what is going on. And sometimes they're a bit confused as well. What gets me is the over the top production values. Too much makeup, the clothes are beyond stylish, the sets over decorated and the problems...ripped from the pages of Kraft-Ebbing.

Speaking of transgendered, has anybody seen the transgendered character on Banshee? She is GREAT... funny, smart, computer genius, tough, damn! you name it.
...forget the name, though. Last episode she broke a plate over the head of one redneck, knocked out another and then threatened the three of them with a knife... then, leaving the diner she looked at the waitresses and said, "so long, girls" then she looked down the aisle at the rednecks and sneered, "goodbye, BITCHES!"

Not sure if this counts but just a week ago I watched "the Skin I live in"
Its about this plastic surgeon who creates a new synthetic skin made from pig. The med comuninty shunned him, he goes crazy(already showing an inmense hatred for young guys), captures one and forcibly transforms him into a woman. Vaginoplasty, FFS, the works namely.

There's just some appeal , I think, to watching young males on video trying to take themselves out of the gene pool?
